Saint Antonin Noble Val
Chambres d'Hôtes La Résidence is located in the heart of the delightful 12th century market town of St Antonin Noble Val, and is perfectly situated to discover the fascinating history of this region and the breathtaking Aveyron Gorge. St Antonin Noble Val, baptised "Nobilis Vallis" by the Romans, is a beautiful medieval town with a wealth of historical architecture and is overlooked by the spectacular Roc d'Anglars.
St Antonin Noble Val is situated in South West France, just an hour's drive from Toulouse and Rodez.
Since the eighth century, when a Benedictine monastery was built here, the town has been attracting people to this sheltered "noble valley" under the limestone Roc d'Anglars and Roc Deymié. A stroll along its atmospheric streets reveals fascinating snippets of history. La Maison Romane, France's oldest civil building, an exquisite stone creation dating from 1125, is now a museum.
The Hundred Foot Journey
Such is the beauty of the area that the producers of the film "The Hundred Foot Journey"" chose Saint Antonin Noble Val from hundreds of other villages to shoot their film. La Résidence was particularly happy to look after some of the members of the international film crew during filming. They no doubt appreciated the relaxed feel and beautiful rooms that La Résidence can offer.
